The Arts Society Rickmansworth
The Arts Society Rickmansworth (TASR) was founded in 975 and recently celebrated its 50th Anniversary. We currently have over 200 members and meet monthly with a two month break in the summer.
We are an independent society affiliated to the National Arts Society which has over 360 societies and 90,000 members worldwide www.theartssociety.org.
Our programme of monthly morning illustrated lectures (except for July and August) covers a broad spectrum of arts-related topics, such as painting, sculpture, jewellery, ceramics, furniture, architecture, garden design, silver, rugs, carpets, tapestries, music and textiles to name but a few! Lectures are given by experienced and highly qualified lecturers accredited by The Arts Society who are all experts in their field.
A stimulating and varied programme for the 2026/27 year can be seen under the Lectures Tab.
During the year we also arrange visits to galleries, museums, houses, gardens, as well as Special Interest Study days.
A residential trip is normally organised each year. In 2027 it will be a 5 night trip to Vienna.
We have vacancies for new committee members. To be able to maintain a healthy and active society it is essential that we have new committe members. Please join us to maintain an informative and interesting society.
